Well it is interesting that you mention that. The grid is more efficient - even now than your internal combustion engine. An electric fleet would drastically reduce emissions even using the current grid. However, I am all for nuclear myself.

The grid - at least in California - goes down with monotonous and depressing regularity. Where is the power for this electric fleet going to come from? How is anyone going to convince a bunch of NIMBY (and how!) Californians?
