But for lack of other things to get upset about (or rather such a wealth of other issues to distract from) Drag Queens have become a hill that the Family Values Warriors are ready to die on.

Look how popular the Village People were back in the day. Hell, there’s probably still plenty of good, upright Christian WASPy Midwesterners that’ll gleefully sing along to “YMCA”.
