A peach, ripened on the tree (not the artificial stuff pushed in stores), can give a loquat a run for the money. As can truly tree ripened plums (again, not available in stores) - I remember when I was young some relatives had a red plum tree and every summer I’d be there picking them off the tree. Scrumptious.

But the loquat has a better aftertaste, and even more importantly does what neither of the two fruit above can - enhance the flavor of the chocolate chaser.
