Engines are so much cleaner now and it will buy us time to
perfect an AFFORDABLE and DEPENDABLE ,safe future of
transportation .,bothe personal and comercial…IMHO!

Actually they address that in depth in the special. Engines are much better and more efficient, but rather than using them to build more economical cars, we build monster engines that we put in big heavy cars and actually end up loosing overall in total efficiency.

Everyone want the 500 hp mustang or the private tank.
