Is there some kind health-code policy for stores about quality that makes them throw away stuff, or is it a business decision derived from “damaged” or less-than-perfect produce not selling?
They can do what they want. No policy for throwing away bad food. It would be difficult to keep track of the food restaurants and stores toss. I’m sure one day there will be a regulation for that anyway.
