Thank you BUT - in my control panel where there USED to be an icon for install/uninstall software, there isn’t one anymore! I already figured if I could install that stupid IE 8 it would revert back to 7 but I can’t even figure out how to uninstall IE 8 - GAH!

It has another name in Vista, but since my Vista machine is at home, and I’m at work, I can’t tell you what it is. Look in the control panel for something that might be it.
