My dads the same way. Mom never had a real sick day in her life. Always active (worked 3 days a week till she was 84,,, went on trips with her freinds as recently as this past summer,,,would go to the outlet malls and shop till they kicked her out so they could close)

OTOH ,, dads been retired for 35 years and after retirement never had any interests/ hobbies except for increasing his drinking,,, he’s now a recovering alcoholic,, dry for 20 years,,but still has no outside interests

Mom being in the hospital since the 1st week of October,, dads LOST!
