It has nothing to do with his current position. It simply isn’t germane to the discussion.

He has made unfounded assertions re: Wired, engaged in sockpuppetry in past instances, and has made unsupported assertions re: Manning in the ongoing Wikileaks mess.

Based on his past actions and loose interpretation of facts (you are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts), I discount his claims and positions and do not consider him a credible source of information. At all.
