Has nothing to do with the story but the thought of Germany and Cash makes me remember sitting in a phone booth in 1983 in Illesheim, Germany with a huge pile of 5 Mark coins (roughly $1 each at that time) to make a phone call to my family stateside :D

Germans have no problem with 50 or 100-euro notes. Americans rarely use anything larger than a $20.
