The problem, of course, is all the other car drivers, who think it’s their God given duty to mow down any bicyclist on the road, electric or manual….

That’s a mostly American problem…and becoming less so in communities that are making bike lanes more visible (green paint) or putting bike paths next to the road. I can get downtown (5 miles) without getting on Highway 1 at all except to cross it at a light. Granted, I do that in my Ram 1500, but I COULD do it on an e-bike…I just couldn’t take the dogs with me.
