Yes, I have been looking through the Honduran Constitution, but I reached the opposite conclusion that you ascribe to me. While there are plenty of constitutional provisions to explain why the Supreme Court of Justice blocked Zelaya’s plebsicite, I can find no constitutional provision that makes the order to arrest, exile and depose Zelaya a legal maneuver.
I have further consulted with three other polisci profs who study Latin American and we all agree that the move to oust Zelaya was a coup and we have yet to figure out any legal justification for the action.
