With respect, that’s crap.

The Dems could have been braver and put forth legislation to do those things. But to claim they would have made an inch of progress in the face of the Republican obstructionism of the last two years would be delusional. I’d have liked to see them do it anyway, but there’s a certain amount of pragmatism not to stand under the hole in the outhouse.
