One Very Smart Polar Bear
Milak, the two years old polar bear at Aalborg Zoo, has developed a new
kind of sport - head hunting with a tube! He has found out to place a
tube on his head and use it as a kind of hunting tool to catch other
objects! Hard to believe your own eyes, but watch this intelligent
polar bear in action! Milak is a very ingenious polar bear, who has
learned to combine his toys in many interesting ways - all of them
centered about his main interest: the hunt.

'Pets with Newt': Gingrich Launches Website
Gingrich has created a new website called "Pets With Newt," which aims to highlight his "lighter side" as a presidential candidate, he tells ABC News. The site remains empty as of Tuesday afternoon — aside from a large "Pets With Newt" logo and pawprint — but Gingrich says it will launch soon. (Update, 12/28: Pets With Newt is now live. The site lets users submit photos of their pets, provides links to Gingrich's campaign website and lists his favorite zoos.)
"As speaker I made it possible for people in public housing to keep their pets," he says, referring to his tenure as House majority leader from 1995 to 1999. "I love pets, so we're going to have an entire project."

Source: Al Qaeda leader sends veteran jihadists to establish presence in Libya
Al Qaeda's leadership has sent experienced jihadists to Libya in an effort to build a fighting force there, according to a Libyan source briefed by Western counter-terrorism officials.
The jihadists include one veteran fighter who had been detained in Britain on suspicion of terrorism. The source describes him as committed to al Qaeda's global cause and to attacking U.S. interests.
The source told CNN that the al Qaeda leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, personally dispatched the former British detainee to Libya earlier this year as the Gadhafi regime lost control of large swathes of the country.
The man arrived in Libya in May and has since begun recruiting fighters in the eastern region of the country, near the Egyptian border. He now has some 200 fighters mobilized, the source added. Western intelligence agencies are aware of his activities, according to the source.

Yeah. It's designed for specific data intercept. Unless you're a suspected enemy combatant they would still need a warrant. Especially if you expect any evidence to hold up in court. So they can't very well use it on a whim. Now if people are going to start worrying about a system wide data intercept system they would have to think about two things. First would be the size of such data and the requirements to handle all of that data and information. The second would be analyzing that data and information for potential threats which would be next to impossible using ordinary manpower. It would have to be software analyzed using keywords, key phrases, etc. A smooth operation of this would require a rather powerful computer mainframe and at or near artificially intelligent software that could "read through" each piece of email, voice data, and video data. Now think of all that data times whatever billion per day.

Yeah. Unfortunately atheism has become somewhat of a trend. And you know what that brings along. A lot of different kinds of baggage and similar to how people fake a belief in God. Simple things like being an atheist just to "get back" at their parents.

And they love Wikileaks and Julian Assange. The young ones that is. It has its very own norms and peer pressure belief structures albeit a secular one. Then there's the moral relativism and the non-belief in a state such as, well, the USA. That itself is not a very good survival mechanism at times. Then you have the "there's no such thing as evil" types.
