If SCOTUS upholds Alabama’s ruling, the GOP will face a backlash of epic proportions.

It’s not going to SCOTUS. The Alabama Supreme Court was interpreting Alabama law, and there are no U.S. Constitutional issues to address, since Roe was reversed by Dobbs.
