What is this sudden fascination with the royal wedding here in the States? Didn’t we rebel 235 years ago just so we didn’t have give a damn what the royals were doing anymore?

Kate is going to get compared to Princess Diana for the next several years, and eventually she’s going to find her own Dodi al Fayed. The question is, are we patient enough to wait for that inevitability? Or will we lose interest in time for her to have a normal (as much as possible) life with William?
