Go to Cook’s Illustrated and check out how they cook them. It is usually put the eggs into an empty pot then fill up with water, bring it to a boil, and then put the cover on and turn down the heat (or turn it off). After 10 minutes put the eggs into an ice bath to chill and then peel them. They should turn out with a nice moist yolk with no ring around the yolk.
