The issue for the book-burners this go-around is that the Internet exists, there’s digital copies of every book they wish to keep out of the hands of the public, and there’s plenty of businesses who will happily ship physical copies to
youanybody who wants to buy it..
which kind of defeats the whole point of public libraries, doesn’t it? Benjamin Franklin and Andrew Carnegie would find the 21st Century so disappointing.
