“Wraps around.” Damn, I love it when computer jagon enters mainstream usage. I wonder if anyone even remembers who invented that term, and why it was called “wrapping around” instead of, say, “rolling over” or “edge jumping.”
Well, I do. One use is as a term referring to bit shift operations, in which the high order bit wraps around to the low order bit, or vice versa.
