There is no particular reason why independents wouldn’t have voted for Trump in the S.C. primary if he had their support, so the fact that Haley got lots of independent votes again like she did in NH demonstrates Trump is a weak candidate; he can’t win the election with GOP votes alone.

Out of five races so far, Trump’s only done better than 70% in two: NV and the Virgin Islands. The former was because Nikki wasn’t on the caucus ballot, the latter…yeah, I don’t know either. But in the other three states, he hasn’t done better than 60% of the overall vote. And this is a guy who supposedly has 80%+ favorability with the party as a whole according to media polling.
