Well, Revere deserves to be honored because he’d built up a huge network of contacts. By the time it came to actually ride, it didn’t matter who was doing it. But it was because of the groundwork that Revere had done— he was, apparently, the original networker— that the ride was successful.

I can’t remember where I read that the primary rider was a woman.
