To be fair, I feel like Santos is a relatively low risk for not showing up. As a member of the House of Representatives of the United States, his whereabouts are generally known. The court may have felt comfortable taking them at their word with such a high-profile person.

I would not feel comfortable taking the word of ANYONE who has anything to do with George Santos.
