All the talk will do nothing to move the needle with The Base.

All the Base wants is a full-size F150 pickup with no touchscreen, simple buttons for $25k and no dealer markup.. What the Base wants is a 3% interest rate for purchasing pickups and houses. What the Base wants is to realize a living wage while seeing online and reality TV the extravagant life the 1% are living. This is a Populist election period.

We are living in an Age of Populism in the US, whether you choose to like it or not. Gone is the Age of Enlightenment, the intellectual Age of Philosophy of the 1800’s, the emergent Socialism of the early 1900’s, and the intellectual Free Marketeers of the latter 20th Century. In their place is a rapid descent to the anti-intellectual bottom with marvelous examples of human thought excrement like Trump, MTG and Gaetz representing America to the world. The Democratic Party still fails to realize our predicament and will lose this election if they don’t take off the gloves and do something.

Gone from their rhetoric is their excuse for racism being a “free market.” The Base wants the government to order large companies to do stuff that benefits them. Their demands are coming from a right-wing point of view. Their complaints and demands are consistent with a feeling of entitlement and ignorance, and Democrats must reply with left-wing Populist solid answers and solutions or else. …Else MAGA will continue to fester and grow. Populism will not simply just go away. It must be commanded and controlled.
