Fareed Zakaria’s take: Bibi doesn’t want a peace deal.

My take: The Palestinians don’t want to accept Israel’s right to exist, making any deal proffered by the Israelis for naught (see prior deals offered by Israel to Abbas and Arafat). If Israel truly had a partner in peace, there’d be a peace deal in reach, but the Palestinians don’t want to give up the ghost of right of return, demanding Israel relinquish control over the Old City and accept borders that put Israel in an indefensible position.

The Palestinians haven’t fulfilled their obligations under Oslo, but want Israel to keep making concessions - negotiating with itself. Where is the Palestinian plan for peace under a 2-state solution? There is none.
