I remember the cover of the dearly departedRocky Mountain News(I’m still sad about that, the Rocky was my first and still only newspaper subscription I ever had) the day after the election. In huge letters GAY RIGHTS CLOBBERED.

Was pretty depressing. Felt really ashamed. Plus I just got here from San Francisco and I was like, “where the fuck did I land?”
