Winner winner chicken dinner. The business has to make appropriate filings to incorporate, and annual filings thereafter (or biannual depending on the state). Change of principal office requires a change form submitted to the state too. Change of agent requires a change form.

You can’t just up and change things on a whim thinking that you’ll avoid jurisdiction issue or asset seizures. That’s not how that works.

So in other words, while this may be an early attempt at pulling these assets out of the reach of the NY AG, the formal paperwork still has to go through. And my guess is that the SEC, or somebody (certainly somebody in New York), would have something to say if these corporations that are under the cloud of a looming legal judgment suddenly up and moved to Florida.
