The donks don’t care. Every waking moment is spent on dreaming of new ways to tax and control. Redistributing as vote mining. Vilify profit making, capitalism and the evil “rich” so that they can be milked to death.
Never mind that it will kill the economy.

Kill the economy and make everyone dependent on government largesse. 21st century feudalism.
