I have to disagree with this, in order for them to get the felony charges they have to prove the underlying felony, being that Stormy was paid off to affect the election, and not to hide it from his wife or just to generally protect his reputation. Proving intent is hard, that’s why John Edwards got off and the DoJ and FEC and previous manhattan DA chose not to bring charges. It is a Manhattan jury so I think he is more likely than not to be convicted, but it isn’t a slam dunk by any stretch.

We keep calling it a hush money/election interference case, but isn’t he being charged with falsifying business records? That, to me, sounds like a slam dunk
