In some ways I think it’s worse than the Cold War. [At least in this hemisphere.] It’s not entirely cold, and the victims in the US are people who are locked up for years on drug charges, and the victims in Mexico are being slaughtered wholesale. It’s not just the military-industrial complex that perpetuates it, it’s Big Pharma, which stands to lose billions of dollars if marijuana is legalized. They spend more on lobbying than any other industry.
