I was born on the same day as Chukchi, a polar bear born at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. As I weighed 10 pounds birth, I was actually bigger than the bear for the first month and a half of my life. Then of course, the bear passed me on her way to an adult polar bears massive size. My parents often took me to LPZ to visit Chukchi when I was little, and I continued to do so, sometimes by myself, till she finally died at the age of 16. I’m now 34.

Take Away: Humans get a lot more life than most things on this earth. Make the most out of that life.
