I’d love to get an explanation for WHY this is bad for kids. Would it be bad for a man presenting as a man to read stories? Or a woman who wears makeup to read stories? Is it OK for a person in a clown costume or a Halloween costume to read stories? So what is it about these readers that is somehow “sick” and must be “shut down?”

It doesn’t appear to be a Drag Queen story hour, but I am guessing a Christmas show isn’t going to be particularly salacious.
