I used to live in an apartment across the street from the Macalester (claMeaters) sports field and would spend the whole of Scottish Fair day listening to bagpipes from my living room. I got into B/I/S music after discovering Richard Thompson and Fairport Convention in the mid-70’s. I got to share some gigs with Boiled In Lead too and really enjoyed that band.

Lots of interesting bands in the Twin Cities to see live back then (and probably still the case). I suspect you and I were often in the same venue at the same time. Too bad I didn’t know you - might have bought you a beer or a soda (but only one, wouldn’t want to get carried away with that sort of thing).
