I never said he was keen and purposeful, and he is an incoherent liar. Yet the fact remains that he has a habit, formed over decades, of speaking in mob code. There’s nothing subtle or clever about it, but the public has decided to grade it on a curve for reasons I can’t understand and pretend that we can’t ascertain the true meaning of stuff like this.

Hint: when Henry Hill says in Goodfellas that you just “light a match” he was talking about insurance fraud. It isn’t a requirement for him to say that explicitly. We got it from the context.

And I’m saying that the term bloodbath is more commonly used in finance than to mean a literal bloody purge. Trump’s a NYC real estate guy.
