I agree. The U.S. Army / reserves / national guard will not be used to invade and defeat states. No hard coups. But if Trump wins he doesn’t need a hard coup. He can use armed forces in quasi legal ways to “put down insurrection” and “defend the border.” He can slowly expand their duties. He won’t make the mistake of having anyone in leadership with principles again, so things will get worse and worse. A soft coup.

So yeah we will get to find out how brave we are.

I do tons of GOTV. I am not sitting around paralyzed with fear. But if Trump wins I believe things will get very bad faster than seems possible.

You are right. But I actually worry more about what happens when Biden wins but the Democrats lose control of the House or Senate (I really have a hard time seeing a path for us to keep the Senate. But then I think about Cruz and I have hope ;-). At least 2 more years of political chaos.
