Robert Stacy McCain’s Neo-Nazi Friend May Face Jury Intimidation Trial

US News • Views: 15,386

Neo-Nazi Bill White, a truly evil and disgusting individual currently serving 2½ years in federal prison, and who once threatened me and tried to find my address and the addresses of my family members to post them on his hate site, may be facing another jury intimidation trial.

Former neo-Nazi leader Bill White, already doing time in a federal prison, may face trial in a separate case of allegedly encouraging violence against a jury foreman.

A federal judge in Chicago ruled 11 months ago that when White posted personal information, including the home address and phone numbers of the jury foreman in the trial of another neo-Nazi, Matt Hale, the First Amendment allowed White to legally do so. The judge dismissed the indictment charging White with soliciting harm against the juror. The government had maintained that White knew his now-defunct website was viewed by white supremacists who sometimes harm people they view as traitors to the white race.

The Seventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the district court judge today, ruling that a jury must be allowed to decide whether White’s actions were protected under the First Amendment. The appeals court sent the case back to the district court judge for further proceedings “consistent with this opinion.”

Bill White is also known at LGF for being a friend of white supremacist blogger Robert Stacy McCain; when McCain worked for the Washington Times, he was responsible for getting several pieces by White published in the newspaper. And McCain frequently posted articles from White’s racist hate site overthrow.com at FreeRepublic, using the name “BurkeCalhounDabney” — a pseudonym based on the name of an infamous pro-slavery Confederate apologist.

For more details on Robert Stacy McCain’s connections to this neo-Nazi creep and his hate site overthrow.com, see: The Other ‘Other McCain’.

This must feel gooood. Yay, team. It's so sweet when the wicked get their just deserts. It's just that much sweeter when you've clashed swords with them too, and at some personal peril.

Come on, folks, get out there and retweet this one!

And be sure to add "#tcot #tlot #p2" to it. It's also a good idea to add McCain's Twitter name "@rsmccain" so it will stick in his eye.

I'm not talking about posting things you don't want people to see -- Facebook has been hacked over and over again. Their code is apparently a mess, and they've only recently begun to properly sanitize user input before displaying it.

Note: The linked wikipedia article gives the wrong title for RL Dabney's biography of Stonewall Jackson.
The title is The Life and campaigns of Lieut.-Gen. Thomas J. Jackson, rather than the Life of General Thomas J. Jackson. The latter is the title of a quite different biography written by Jackson's widow.
Dabney's biography is still quite popular and widely read among Civil War buffs and, unfortunately among white supremacists and Confederate apologists. It is notable for the stridently self-righteous tone with which Dabney defends slavery and the Confederacy itself. Dabney insisted that slavery was not just tolerable but a positive good in terms of Calvinist Christianity.
Amazingly for this early date (1866), Dabney accuses the Union of fighting beneath "the red banner of socialism."

More RndPaul() looniness:

Paul, a Presbyterian layman, campaigned at a Christian Home Educators of Kentucky convention where he was peppered with questions about his religious beliefs, brushing aside one about the age of the earth that he later described as ridiculous.

"I'm not running for minister," Paul said later. "I'm more than willing to stand up and say I'm a Christian, but I don't think I have to go into every detail of what my religious beliefs are. If I were going to be the minister of their church, they'd have a right to ask me that."

Actually, that's not a bad answer, Rand. But not answering the question of how old you think the earth is will cause a ripple in the flock. Or are you being advised not to lose the rest of the voting public as the flock is secure no matter what?

Slightly O/T

Jeffrey Goldberg at The Atlantic has been pushing his Saddam Hussein/Al Qaeda story in the face if fierce criticism from Glen Greenwald at Salon. Glen regards Jeffrey as an unprincipled hack who pushed a false story that covered for our war against Iraq, and brought this up to counter jeffrey's role in the WaPo firing of Dave Weigal.

Jeffrey Goldberg made an unfortunate choice in bringing aboard Eli Lake today to push his Saddam/Al Qaeda schtick today. Eli Lake is a friend and podcaster with the Shrieking Harpy (warning:link to shrieking harpy!) and loves him some radio wacko Mark Levin...

He didn't just "know" Bill White -- he actively promoted the guy, getting his articles into the Washington Times (which probably wasn't hard because the paper has always been friendly to white supremacists), and posting links to Overthrow.com to mailing lists and Free Republic.

It's pretty amazing how many excuses the right wing blogosphere lets this freak get away with.

Kim Kardashian Cast in Wax for Madame Tussauds

Kim Kardashian's curvaceous figure will be presented in wax at Madame Tussauds in New York City later this week, ending the mystery surrounding several Twitter posts she recently tagged #karwax.

"I can finally reveal that I am getting my own wax figure," she wrote on her Celebuzz blog. "This is one of the greatest honors ever and I am so thrilled and excited. Now I will never have to leave NYC ... I've officially gone bi-coastal! LOL."

Iraq. Afghanistan had bipartisan support because we knew who attacked us and rightly went after them. Had we stayed focused on Afghanistan, we could have spent 1/10th the amount of money we wasted in Iraq, given the Afghans some infrastructure and a stable government, and we'd probably be out of there by now (and whoever Bush had wanted to succeed him would have). But no, we were planning on invading Iraq two days after 9/11, according to the transcripts (thank you Rumsfeld).

Yellow cake from Niger. Aluminium tubes (apparently they fell off of Ted Stevens Internet truck). Mobile bio-labs(actually, weather stations, apparently). 45 minute chemical attack capabilities. To clarify a little, Robert Stacy McCain's hero and partial namesake, Robert Lewis Dabney (1821-1898) was a Presbyterian theologian and minister who became famous for his fanatically moralistic defense of slavery, the antebellum south, and the Confederate cause in general. Dabney's biography of Stonewall Jackson portrays the fierce and ruthless Jackson as second only to Jesus Christ in moral perfection, and that not by much.
The only reason this is important is that Dabney remains something of a cult figure among neo-Confederates and his major works are still in print.

Well, flouride is poisonous...potentially.

wikishit:

In the higher doses used to treat osteoporosis, sodium fluoride can cause pain in the legs and incomplete stress fractures when the doses are too high; it also irritates the stomach, sometimes so severely as to cause ulcers. Slow-release and enteric-coated versions of sodium fluoride do not have gastric side effects in any significant way, and have milder and less frequent complications in the bones.[24] In the lower doses used for water fluoridation, the only clear adverse effect is dental fluorosis, which can alter the appearance of children's teeth during tooth development; this is mostly mild and is unlikely to represent any real effect on aesthetic appearance or on public health.[

Yes, I know. But the two afore mentioned or implied fish (Carp and Catfish) live in shallow water were heavy metal/chemical contamination is extremely possible, therefore my refusal to eat them. It's not that they are bottom feeder per say, but what they may have possibly ingested. We have reservoirs in this area that the Idaho Fish and Game as well as the health Dept. don't want you eating fish from. Lightning just hit a small tree in front of my house

The tree is knocked completely down. House was rattled enough that a picture and a wall clock were knocked off the walls. Rain is subsiding. As soon as it stops I'm going out to see if there was any more damage

Free firewood for next winter! Grab your chainsaw before the neighbors get it.

nahh ,,, it's just a tad bigger than a sappling. We planted it maybe two summers ago.

Thank God it didn't hit one of the pines in the backyard. 3 of them exceed 45 feet

Unless someone thinks your "spamming". Just use different tags, and retweet a couple or three times and you should be OK, IMO.

not just out...she's the biggest upset of the tournament, by far. i can't believe it. from the box score, it looks like she just had a day where she couldn't keep the ball on the court.

Short, sweet, and on track, baby. Sure, it's a dull skill to have compared to, say, being a great musician. But you have to use what the Lawd gave ya!

General Jack D. Ripper: Mandrake, do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... ice cream. Ice cream, Mandrake, children's ice cream.
Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Lord, Jack.
General Jack D. Ripper: You know when fluoridation first began?
Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: I... no, no. I don't, Jack.
General Jack D. Ripper: Nineteen hundred and forty-six. Nineteen forty-six, Mandrake. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.

Oops, i'm back...

I don't like my job much now. Getting large teams of people to grow professionally and achieve more than they'd been able to previously is fun for me. I also love devising a new business process and then debating the company about why i'm right. Shocker, right?

An anti-fluoride conspiracy group just posted a comment at TrueSlant, in my thread about Sharron Angle. Trying to decide if I should approve it or not. Leaning toward not.

Sheesh, I guess there's a conspiracy group for just about everything.

The blowback against the operations to deal with the oil cleanup is beginning:

Doing Nothing to Fix Oil Spill Would Have Been Better, Scientist Says

Now, that is the Fox headline. They credit Reuters, so let's look at the (current) Reuters headline:

Analysis: Doing nothing might have been best for oil spill

Do you notice that Fox decided to leave out a word?

Anyway, the crux of the story is that the burning and dispersants have downsides.

Missing from both headlines btw is the problem, the biggest problem, of stemming the flow from the well.

Fox News is in permanent spin mode.
