Sean Hannity Tweets Image From 4Chan/White Supremacist Sites

The Fox News host is dredging the same white supremacist sewers as his hero Donald Trump
Politics • Views: 54,836

The white supremacist rot has now eaten so far into the conservative movement that one of the leading Fox News “entertainers” is tweeting images that come directly from the ugly troll sewers of 4chan and the white supremacist blogs they feed.

Case in point:

This graphic was originally a promo for the movie “John Wick,” starring Keanu Reeves:

Reverse image site tineye.com found the photoshopped version at 4chan on October 16; that’s the earliest appearance. Here’s a screenshot of the post:

This thread has been deleted from 4chan, but here’s an archived version.

From 4chan, the image quickly spread to numerous far right and white supremacist sites. The earliest hit on these blogs: Alternative Right. (The link goes to an archived version because we don’t post direct links to hate sites at LGF.)

And now, just a few days later, it’s bubbled all the way up through the fever swamps to a Fox News host. Good work, Sean Hannity.

Hannity is no different from Alex Jones, Don Black, and the other alt-right pieces of shit. Sean, you’re a racist fuckwad. You’ve always been just like your mentor Rushbo.

Sorry to go off topic so quickly, but a couple of things happened today.

1) A Scientologist and Trump supporter was arrested on October 19 after threatening to kill Muslims at an Los Angeles Islamic center. His Scientology connection was made clear this morning.

tonyortega.org

Annnd, related, and more spectacular:

2) It turns out this Scientologist has a sister, and this sister was Donald Trump Jr.’s executive assistant from at least March 2014 to April 2015 and also served on the board of the Eric Trump Foundation.

tonyortega.org

Hat tip to the only full-time reporter on the Scientology beat, Tony Ortega.

And this is why you’re just as shitty as Trump, Jason no matter how you and your party attempt to weasel out of it. Stop wasting our taxpayers dollars on investigations and actually govern or maybe you don’t know how to do that since your party has no real ideology any more except obstruction since you can’t handle getting your asses handed to you by a party actually equipped for the 21st century rather than a party that uses Ronald Reagan’s corpse as a party plank.

The DNC (presumably the Democratic National Committee - the organization that runs one of the two national parties in our two-party system) “interfered with the election”??

How? By running a candidate against Donald Trump?

I think Goodman’s probably still sore that the DNC favored an actual Democrat over the guy who caucused with them and then only formally joined them out of convenience. I’m fine with Bernie but I have no problems with all about the DNC favoring Clinton over him. I mean it’s not like the Sanders campaign wanted to play nice with the DNC anyhow. It’s politics. Sanders to his credit gets that.

It wouldn’t be a day ending in ‘y’ without over-the-topness from certain quarters.

Being outraged by something is no reason to abandon rule of law (and in this particular case, the explicit definition of ‘treason’ in the Constitution). Treating outrage as justifying everything is a bad mistake for liberals to make, because RWNJs have perfected the art of being outraged by everything, 27 hours a day.

Treason is very specifically defined in the Constitution as taking up arms against the Federal government or the several states.

Thus, the South committed treason in the Civil War. The Talibanjo committed treason at Mahleur Wildlife Refuge.

However, the country doesn’t prosecute treason per se.

Right. It’s got a strict legal definition. I have to admit I’m very technical about this sort of thing since I’ve gotten into the legal profession but being an obnoxious blowhard on Twitter isn’t treason. Grounds for a good smack but not a treason charge heh.

Bernie got at that himself heh. I mean I think what bothered me about the Berners (not Bernie himself) is that they wanted to act like Bernie was pure and above it all. He wasn’t and oyu know what, that’s fine, he was in it to win it and when you’re in it to win it, that’s how it goes. I only begrudged Bernie when I thought he was taking way too long to acknowledge defeat and endorse Clinton which to his credit he has done and done a great job as a surrogate on her behalf. My opinion is unchanged that I don’t think he’d be a good president but that’s okay, not everyone can be a good president. That’s why not every elected official well at least not if you’re the Obama era GOP seeks the office when there’s a primary.

Hopefully that sells him. Honestly, Bernie was a flawed candidate and it’s sad that too many of them are blinded by their disappointment that they can’t see that. To be honest, in a way I’m more annoyed by the Never Trumpers within the GOP than those supporting him. Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate those who see Trump is bad news but at the same time, many of these same people are those who belittled us on the left when we warned them about what their party was doing. We told them that birtherism was racism. They told us to either shut up or went along with it themselves. We told them that Trump was nasty to immigrants. They called us soft on crime. Be outraged by Trump, that’s all well and good but realize this, Trump is not the illness that ails the Republican Party. He is a symptom of a party that once had men like Abe Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Dwight Eisenhower lead it that has spent the better part of the half century on many of the wrong side of issues facing our great country.

The GOP has been festering its way to this disaster for a half-century. Before the civil rights realignment, the Republicans were mainly anti New Deal dead enders that had not succeeded in finding a way to regain respectability for their goal of undoing the New deal.

Two things happened that gave the GOP an undeserved second chance.

1) Ike ran as a Republican, foolishly believing that strengthening the Republicans was a good idea. That gave the Republicans a veneer of civilization which was carefully preserved ever since then, until Trump blew it all to Hell.

2) The civil rights realignment aligned the Republicans with the worst elements in US politics. No longer would Republican fat cats have to sell the undoing of the New Deal on its economic effects. The votes of resentful racists count just the same as the votes of informed and thoughtful citizens.

Yeah, it’s my understanding that Ike only ran as a Republican because he felt the Dems had been in power too long. I really wish he hadn’t because frankly the GOP has been so wrong on so many issues in that time period. I think Ford had some good things he did but really the party’s been on a steep decline since TR handed the reins to Taft in 1908 on a presidential level IMO. There’s been good Republican governors and senators since then but presidentially they’ve declined a lot since TR stepped down.

“I believe in states’ rights.”

And pretty much everyone knew what he was doing by that. I think at best, Reagan was greatly insensitive to the horrors of racism, at worst I think he played on it for votes and given what I know about Reagan and the life he lived, I firmly believe it was the latter. I’m sorry. I know some Lizards like Reagan but I just can’t respect the man. I think he was better than Trump but that’s not really saying a lot.

To get into the mind of even allegedly progressive Northerners in the 19th century, read this opinion piece in the NYT from 1851:

query.nytimes.com

They just couldn’t get around the idea that the slave owners still had property rights.

This is the origin of the cry of “rights” of Southern states when they balk at progressive notions. It all stems from the original idea that the owner of a person still had rights to his property, even if the property was a person.

It was this adherence to a form of capital that took the religious progressives of the North such a long time to beat their Bibles to convince others that there is no inherent right to own another person.

As long as the idea of the preeminence of ownership of capital overrides everything else there is limited to no chance of real change.

Note that the young United States did not pay the British Crown of the land that was taken. The Crown claimed ownership to the original colonial land and then chartered out large chunks to colonists.

This is an ideological dividing point: is ownership (of anything) absolute, or is ownership derivative (of our social order?) That is, can one truly “own” anything, or is ownership better described as stewardship, a temporary grant of exclusive use?

I don’t expect our national political dialogue to really address this. But that is only because our political dialogue is hung up in the pettiness of name calling and salacious scandals.

” A lot of people fought and died to end white supremacy”

And what has it done? American social capital has been destroyed, our society is slowly turning into an atomized hell, and our politics will increasingly resemble tribal warfare. The fiction that we could make race irrelevant needs to die, group differences are real and ethnic tribalism is hardwired into humans by our DNA. Our founders chose to limit citizenship to whites of good character for a reason, just as Japan seeks to remain Japanese for a reason. Diversity + close proximity = war

Well, there is the source article from Heatstreet:

heatst.com

What causes hurricanes? Probably the U.S. government, but how? A new analysis suggests that President Obama might be using “green energy” turbines to weaponize the wind in an effort to rig yet another election with hurricanes.

There is not an overwhelming amount of scientific evidence to support this conclusion, most likely because the government has worked tirelessly to suppress it. But just think about it. Wind turbines. Wind energy. What are hurricanes made of? Wind. And lots of energy.

A photographic analysis of this photograph, taken at an undisclosed location, supports the theory that so-called “wind farms,” promoted and in some cases heavily subsidized by the Obama administration, can produce powerful energy force fields that can be turned into hurricanes.

The photographs are a real eye-opener of conspiratorial derp.

The derp gets deeper at the article… .

I’m a product of what people like Rod and his friends would call “ethnic mixing.” There was a time when Slavs like my mom’s grandparents weren’t considered “really white” and Irish Catholics like my dad’s maternal family weren’t either. But here I am and here I am with a niece who is part Irish/Slavic/German but also part indigneous Peruvian and Spanish and 100% American. Our diversity is our strength. If people like Rod and his friends want to refuse to meet and love people from outside their culture, I can’t stop them but they’re the problem not the solution. They bring up Japan. Japan is losing tons of people due its xenophobic approach to outsiders. To our nation’s credit, we’ve always been more welcoming than not.

One way, I like to stick it to paleos is by pointing out that we have done well because of immigration. But of course, they bitch because the “wrong” kind of people are emigrating more these days. Aside from that, you also have a cripplingly low birthrate, which has been caused partially by the Population Density, but also the fact that Japan is still stunningly patriarchal. If you think Sexual Assault is bad here, it is worse there, and that is only scrapping the top.

If the US can fight off its xenophobia infection, the US could be set for the century. Because of the fact that the people promoting that are also promoting other idiocy, defeating it will lead to progress elsewhere.

“you better kill your nemesis.”

Luke Cage? Shade and Mariah are still in business, and doing pretty well. Diamondback is likely to come back with super powers.

Daredevil? Still having to deal with Wilson Fisk in Season 2.

OTOH, Jessica Jones killed Killgrave at the end of the season, so he ain’t coming back.

Jays’ fans tossed a big ass beer can at an Orioles outfielder during this past wild card game

Yep, Kim. I was watching the game instead of the VP Debate that night and man I was pissed. Adam Jones and Buck Showalter were too. I can tell you. I get passionate at games. I’ve even been known to curse but throw a bottle at an opposing player? Never would consider it. I was really glad that Cleveland beat Toronto to win the pennant after that.

Treason? I think you’re going way too far there. Are they assholes? Are they idiots? Yes and yes but treason is a bridge too far. Just saying because I remember how much I hated any disagreement with Bush was labeled that way.

That depends actually. If enough of his supporters raise a stink violently after a loss (or a win), that could potentially land him in hot water for at least incitement to rebellion. But if it can be proven that a substantial part of the financial and other aid came from Vlad & the Kremlin Crew, that could potentially open up a (incitement to) treason charge.

So, it all depends on how good the puppet and the puppet masters combined are at operational secuirty IMO.

Here we have courtesy of Charles’ programming a special wingnut font, but we also use the exclamation point and capital letters to represent the wild-eyed rantings of the reactionary right.

But this is not new.

Also from the Sep 1851 NYT, an editorial with a passing sneer at a Southern slavery-supporter whining about abolition:

query.nytimes.com

“… One of these [letters] is from […] Alabama. It is written in the emphatic style, half italics and the other half exclamation points. He is exceedingly anxious that South Carolina should secede at once; …”

Since they took over, and decided their only job was to shut down government, vote fruitlessly to repeal the ACA, and investigate Benghazi, their disapproval rating is ALWAYS in the high 70s, occasionally dipping into the LOW 70s.

So did I. In freakin northwest Louisiana. What a great allocation of campaign resources.

You watching the game on Fox? I got that POS ad, too (Western MA via DirecTV - but the feed seems to shift to CH. 11 in Los Angeles) - must be a national buy?

Most pathetic thing is seeing Darrell Issa claim he’s worked with Obama constructively as a means to save his sorry ass. I hope the voters in his district aren’t that stupid. Issa’s had it out for Obama from day one.

That one really takes the cake. CA Republicans may be few in number, but that does not diminish their enthusiasm for stupidity and malice. Issa is a perfect representative of this.

re: #250 HappyWarrior

There’s something very wrong with states like Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and others that have consistently gone for President Obama yet have such a high proportion of Republican to Democratic Reps. Redistricting needs to be done by an independent commission. As far as I know, Republican state legislatures consistently reject that. Gee wonder why.

Rural Penna. is extremely conservative.

Rural Virginia is too, along with Virginia Beach. Rural Ohio is also conservative.

So a state could go for President Obama and still have a number of GOP politicians.

Jake Arietta just gave up his first hit, Cleveland now has a man on second base.

Oh I know that believe me but we have 11 CDs in Virginia, only 3 of them are Democratic and one of them is a majority-minority district. I feel districts should be created by independent commissions that aren’t interested in trying to save their own skin. There are some Democratic versions too to be fair. Maryland’s pretty bad I know.

When I wrote a letter to the local paper supporting Senator Sasse though I am in the opposite party and disagree with his party’s agenda, a whole bunch of people wrote in to pillory Senator Sasse for failing to support the GOP nominee.

Senator Sasse seems to think he is a Republican. No. The voters who are supporting Trump are the Republican Party. I’m not sure where Senator Sasse would fit (not the Libertarians, from his social conservative views, certainly not the Democratic Party).

Several already said they would do that this summer.

They don’t understand that those “high crimes and misdemeanours” in the Constitution apply to serving as President. Being elected President doesn’t count.

They really don’t have anything. Scare up conservative voters by claiming they would impeach President Obama for seven years, now trying to do the same with Hillary Clinton.

Yup, the last time the Cubs won the National League pennant. They won against the Detroit Tigers 8-1.

Sigh…

40 years I’ve been watching stuff like this.

As bad as Eagles fans can get, the worst I ever saw was at a Flyers game. Guy gets so drunk, he starts vomiting in his seat. Before he’s kicked out, an old lady starts hitting him with his umbrella.

On the plus side, I was at Game 4 of the 2008 World Series, Phils vs Tampa Bay Rays. Apparently, Rob Schneider, a die hard Rays fan for whatever reason, was about 12 rows behind us. Apparently, he got non-stop grief most of the game.

Hopefully, it was for The Animal.

re: #134 HappyWarrior

I have to admit, i don’t know a ton about Japan but I do know that their country is losing a lot of population and that it’s due to hostility to immigration. One way, I like to stick it to paleos is by pointing out that we have done well because of immigration. But of course, they bitch because the “wrong” kind of people are emigrating more these days. Sigh. I take that shit very personally since my great grandmother emigrated just before the 1924 Quotas were passed to limit emigration from Eastern Europe. Who knows, had she emigrated attempted to emigrate only a few years later than she did, I wouldn’t be here.

The reason Japan is *losing population* is because their population is ageing rapidly, much like the populations of other post-industrial advanced nations. They’ve actually been bringing in people from the Philippines to keep their agriculture sector going for some time now. Another problem they have is a trend among young people to be asexual, with predictable consequences for the birthrate. Sure, there’s xenophobia in Japan, just as in any other society you care to name, but it isn’t the major driver of their population issues.

Interesting side note:

Major League Baseball rules state that a World Series game cannot be concluded due to a rain-out; the game must be played to conclusion. (Presumably if the game becomes unplayable due to rain, the game would be suspended until later.)

It is now starting to rain in Cleveland.

Keeping with a theme: you can thank the Phils for that one. Game 5, 2008 World Series.

The asexuality is perplexing but could be a natural outworking of the extremely built-up society, by which I mean both physical and culturally. Young people have before them a seemingly impossible set of conflicting requirements, about duty to society on the one hand, and limited advancement on the other. Who knows what the future will bring, but I suspect it will be a long time before the population gets low enough to open up the society to see major changes.

“Hannity has officially jumped the shark-no ifs, and and buts.”

I think Hannity bought into his own idea that he’s the greatest, most influential voice in America. He’s been living in his own universe for so long that he was 100% sure he could get Trump elected. He’s only now finding out how small his universe really is, and that there are millions of Americans who can’t stand his guts. It must be jarring to him to suddenly discover he isn’t all that he thought he was in the eyes and opinions of others, and that his power ends at others’ doorsteps. If he cracks up, maybe he’ll be forced to leave Fox and his radio program, which would be a win-win for America.

They seem to think they’re gonna be able to pull a fast one on voters after this train wreck by convincing them that they never really supported Trump, they just voted against Hillary.

Sadly, they’ll probably get away with it…til 2018, when all the ads starting popping up reminding folks of how the incumbents were big Trump boosters until he disintegrated.

Jesus Christ.

nymag.com

In August, Paul Ryan fended off a primary challenge from motorcycle-riding bad boy Paul Nehlen, a Wisconsin businessman who won the support of Donald Trump, Ann Coulter, and Sarah Palin. But Nehlen’s loss, by 69 percentage points, hasn’t discouraged him. He’s now planning to unseat Ryan as Speaker of the House.

He went on to cite Article 1, Section 2 of the Constitution, which he says “allows for non-members of the U.S. House of Representatives to be elected Speaker of the House.” While he’s technically right, there has never been a Speaker who wasn’t also a member of the House. And it seems a pretty safe bet that if that were to change, a guy who makes arm-wrestling challenges during campaigns wouldn’t be the one to do it.

re: #400 Joe Bacon

I don’t have any insane conservative relatives. No one in my family, and I mean no one would have anything to do with the Fascist Party. The only person in my family who was supporting Trump (my favourite cousin), dumped him after his attack on Megyn Kelly, and is now sporting a Clinton sign in her yard. (Unlike me, she lives in a place where that is safe to do.)

More pile of E-mails, from the Liberal Party of Canada, fundraising for candidates.

How I got on their list is somewhat interesting.

When Justin Trudeau won the elections in Canada to become Prime Minister, I sent a congratulatory message as a (very minor) politician, as many around the world did.

The Liberal Party put me on their mailing list. When I noted I am an American Democrat, the removed me.

Now I am back. I noted this time that I already requested to be taken off their list, and that it is likely illegal in Canada to fundraise from foreigners. I’ll have to see how they take that one.
