But having them on “paper” as not being allowed to have a gun gives you the authority to do something if they are discovered with a gun. If no “paper” saying they can’t have a gun then law enforcement doesn’t have a legal leg to stand on in taking the gun (legally or illegally obtained in the marketplace) from the person.

What if the person who committed the crime has truly changed his life for the better? Still no full forgiveness?
